–This time with the Bottomline /Cologne, Germany –
the bottomline is a multi-genre music project from Cologne admired for their captivating “melancholic-sweet-cathartic” sound. Franzis Lating and Johannes Elia Nuß draw on alleged contrary musical traditions and combine them with great keenness to experiment to a “highly individual, novel” and “cinematic” experience, that morphs somewhere between Jazz, Classical and electronic music and sometimes above and beyond any kind of category. Lyrical figures, polyrhythmic overlays, coordinated interplay, exceptional song structures and Franzis’ outstanding voice form the common essential core of their very unique compositions and live shows.
